I've only tried their breakfasts, and the food was very good. I've ordered takeout twice and ate in the restaurant once. It seems as if there are quite a few "regulars" that come in to eat, which makes the atmosphere very comfortable. The service was great, and the food arrived quickly. I intend to try out some of the lunch menu items next as there are several options that sound delicious! Herbie's Cafe is definitely a place I would recommend, and I look forward to taking family to eat there.
We love this little place. The food is always good. We've never had a problem with service. They give you plenty of food for the value or cost. I love the atmosphere, older planes hanging from ceilings and pictures there of. My wife and I go here quite often !
Overall loved it. However kinda cramped. That's because of how popular they are tho. Great prices and good food.
Nice little diner for a good but inexpensive breakfast. Friendly staff and my breakfast was great! The also serve lunch.
Love the home town feel, got a seat right away. Food came out fast and is very affordable for a whole family. Not much is these days. The staff, amazing!! These are the places that remind me how great our town is.
My eggs were not cooked properly the first go around but they definitely fixed them. Dorothy was our server and she was very good! I was able to meet the owner Janice and she was very nice as well. I was an out of towner but they made me feel right at home.
This place is always booming. First time here and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. party of five for breakfast. I had the Tex wrap and I loved it. Very comfy and warm atmosphere. Highly recommend to all and we’ll be back :)
Arrived 11am on a monday and the place was a bustling. The dining area is definitely on the small side but people understand this and don't diddle daddle. I only waited 2 minutes for a seat at the counter (7 stools). Wait staff is of the teamwork type. Everyone helps and is happy to be helpful. I ordered an Irish Omelette, with white toast, and a side order 1/2 biscuits and gravy. Food was ample size for price and cooked VERY well (great, exceptional)! Tasted amazing too! I requested a water and a diet coke. Cold and refreshing. Only 1 table that can hold 7 or squeeze in 8. But lots of tables that can squeeze 5. Space is the only possible gripe about this restaurant. Herbie's is everything you want in a small diner that is open until 2pm. Great food, price, service (Kathy was also exceptional), and atmosphere!!! Had an awesome time Saturday, 3-1-25. Haven't been back to Herbie's in almost 20 years. Had a waitress that actually remembered my mother my father from when we used to meet there with our youngest daughter. Waitress and I apologize I forgot your name, you were outstanding, caring, and bubbly. She's been a waitress there for 25 years. A lot of the wait staff and staff had tie dye shirts with a logo on the back. Those were cute. Had the steak and eggs, American fries, Texas toast, coffee. Everything was excellent. The wife had standard two eggs bacon and toast. They've had to recently upcharge $0.50 per egg, like a lot of restaurants are because of the new price increase with the bird flu. Still, excellent money for the value that we got. Plenty of portions. Will try to go back soon, hopefully not as long as 20 years. The decor is quaint with airplane memorabilia hanging from the ceilings the walls and posters. Don home folk down home food downhome good time down home great value.
Great place to eat. We love the breakfast here. Staff is great, food is served hot and is great. Good selection of choices for breakfast,lunch and dinner items. Our 3 year old granddaughter loved the special pancakes she got. The planes were great as we told her about them so she was learning as she eats. We will definitely be back
